Our Funeral Directors are responsible for all aspects of funeral planning, from meeting with families to discuss their needs and preferences, to coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure a seamless and dignified service.

Job Responsibilities:

– Meet with families to discuss funeral arrangements and provide guidance and support.
– Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and other service providers to make arrangements for funeral services.
– Ensure all necessary paperwork and permits are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
– Oversee the preparation of the deceased for viewing and burial according to the family’s wishes.
– Assist families with any additional support they may need, such as grief counseling or estate planning services.

Qualifications:

– Licensed Funeral Director with experience in the funeral services industry.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate support to grieving families.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to funeral services.

We are hiring Funeral Supplies & Services Staff!

Forest Lawn Funeral Home is also seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our Funeral Supplies & Services team. As a member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our funeral services run smoothly and efficiently.

About the Funeral Supplies & Services Department:

– Our Funeral Supplies & Services team is responsible for preparing the funeral home and chapel for services, including setting up equipment, arranging flowers, and assisting with transportation of the deceased.
– We work closely with the Funeral Directors to ensure that every detail of the funeral service is handled with care and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities:

– Set up and prepare the funeral home and chapel for services, including arranging flowers, setting up equipment, and creating a peaceful and dignified environment for families.
– Assist with the transportation of the deceased, ensuring that they are handled with respect and sensitivity.
– Provide support to the Funeral Directors and other staff members as needed to ensure that services run smoothly and according to the family’s wishes.
– Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

– Previous experience in a funeral services or related field is preferred but not required.
– Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
– Ability to work well as part of a team and follow directions accurately.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding the highest standards of service.
– Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
