Position: Medical Oncologist

Location: Houston, Texas

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description:

As a Medical Oncologist at Excel Diagnostics & Nuclear Oncology Center, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cancer. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans, monitor patients’ progress, and adjust treatment regimens as needed. Additionally, you will participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of oncology care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ medical histories and perform physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other targeted therapies
  • Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and adjust therapy as necessary
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in tumor board meetings and collaborate with other specialists
  • Contribute to clinical research studies and publications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Medical Oncology
  • Texas medical license
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current oncology practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
