We are a member of the National Baptist Convention and are dedicated to spreading the love of Christ through worship, service, and fellowship. Our church has a rich history dating back to 1962 when it was founded by the esteemed Reverend William A. Lawson. Today, we continue to uphold his vision of empowering individuals through faith and community.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team in the role of Assistant Pastor.

Job Title: Assistant Pastor

Location: Houston, TX

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Pastor in leading worship services and preaching the Word of God
• Provide pastoral care and counseling to members of the congregation
• Coordinate and oversee various ministry programs and initiatives
• Participate in church events, outreach efforts, and community service projects
• Engage with youth and young adult ministries to nurture their faith and spiritual growth

Qualifications:

• Ordained minister with a Master of Divinity or equivalent degree from an accredited seminary
• At least 5 years of experience in pastoral ministry
• Strong biblical knowledge and theological understanding
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
