We are currently seeking a Pet Care Specialist to join our team.
Position: Pet Care Specialist
Location: ABC City, State
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals in our shelter, including feeding, grooming, and walking
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of all animals in our care
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining the shelter facilities
- Interact with potential adopters to help them find the perfect pet for their family
- Administer medications and treatments to animals as directed by our veterinary team
- Work with volunteers to ensure the animals receive the attention and care they need
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with animals, preferably in a shelter or pet store setting
- Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the best care possible
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and move animals of various sizes
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices and medical terminology
