Funeral Director

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director to join our team at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. As a Funeral Director, you will play a crucial role in helping families through one of the most difficult times in their lives. You will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral planning process, arranging details of services, and ensuring that all aspects of the funeral run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with families to arrange and plan funeral services
• Coordinate details of the funeral service, including location, transportation, and clergy
• Prepare and file all necessary paperwork, including death certificates and permits
• Oversee all aspects of the funeral service, including scheduling, staffing, and logistics
• Provide support and guidance to grieving families
• Ensure that all services meet the wishes of the deceased and their family

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed Funeral Director
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with empathy and compassion
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience in funeral service industry preferred
• Ability to work well under pressure and in emotional situations

Crematory Operator

Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home is also looking for a detail-oriented Crematory Operator to join our team. As a Crematory Operator, you will be responsible for operating the crematory, ensuring that all cremations are performed safely and respectfully. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the crematory facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the crematory equipment according to established procedures
• Prepare bodies for cremation, including proper identification and documentation
• Maintain accurate records of all cremations performed
• Ensure that the crematory facility meets all regulatory requirements
• Provide support to families during the cremation process
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the crematory equipment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Crematory Operator preferred
• Knowledge of cremation procedures and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and emotionally charged environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
