Position: Medical Billing and Coding Specialist – Work From Home

Job Description

• Review and accurately assign appropriate medical codes to patient records
• Ensure timely submission of insurance claims and follow up on any claim rejections or denials
• Verify insurance coverage and communicate with payers to resolve any billing issues
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to optimize billing processes
• Stay current with industry changes and updates related to medical billing and coding

Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding
• At least 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience working from home or in a virtual setting is a plus
