Position: Health Insurance Specialist

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is seeking a motivated and dedicated Health Insurance Specialist to join our team. As a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting blood cancers, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate health insurance policies and coverage options for patients undergoing treatment for leukemia and lymphoma
• Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and navigating the healthcare system
• Work closely with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing and coverage issues
• Provide guidance and support to patients in need of financial assistance for medical expenses
• Collaborate with other members of the LLS team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, or a related field
• Experience working in health insurance, health maintenance organizations, or human services organizations
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare billing procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
