Job Responsibilities

• Meet with families to make funeral arrangements
• Coordinate all aspects of the funeral service, including working with clergy, cemeteries, and florists
• Provide families with guidance and support throughout the funeral process
• Prepare and file all necessary paperwork, including death certificates and permits
• Oversee the preparation of the deceased for viewing and burial
• Ensure that all services are conducted in accordance with Jewish customs and traditions
• Manage and coordinate funeral staff and volunteers
• Handle any additional tasks or requests as needed

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Funeral Director in the state of Texas
• Prior experience working in a funeral home or related field
• Knowledge of Jewish funeral customs and traditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work compassionately with grieving families
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
