Job Description:

Discount Power is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Electric Companies division in Houston, TX. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

– Design and develop electrical systems for power generation, distribution, and transmission
– Perform engineering calculations and simulations to optimize system performance
– Conduct tests and inspections to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of new products and services
– Stay current on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices
– Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
– Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
– Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering
– Proficiency in electrical design software and tools
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
