Position: Crisis Intervention Specialist
Job Description
As a Crisis Intervention Specialist at Rescue America, you will be responsible for providing immediate support and assistance to individuals in crisis situations. This includes working with clients to assess their needs, develop safety plans, and connect them with appropriate resources in their community. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals navigate through challenging times and empower them to make positive changes in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct crisis assessments and develop intervention plans
- Provide crisis counseling and emotional support to clients
- Connect clients with community resources and services
- Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure holistic support for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and documentation
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
- Previous experience in crisis intervention or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging situations
- Knowledge of community resources and services for individuals in crisis
- Passion for helping others and making a positive impact
