Position: Community Outreach Coordinator

Location: Texas Federation of the People Headquarters, Austin, TX

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with the community
• Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and programs
• Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to address social issues
• Educate and empower community members on social justice issues
• Provide support and resources to individuals in need
• Coordinate volunteer activities and recruitment efforts
• Advocate for policy changes that benefit marginalized populations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, community development, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in community outreach or related role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for social justice and advocacy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of community resources and social service programs
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
