Position: City Planner

Houston Resource Management is a leading consulting firm that specializes in providing innovative solutions to city and municipal governments. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced City Planner to join our team. Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive city planning strategies to promote sustainable development
• Conduct research and analysis to support the creation of land use plans and zoning regulations
• Collaborate with local government officials, community stakeholders, and other professionals to ensure that planning projects meet the needs of the community
• Prepare and present reports, studies, and recommendations to city councils and planning commissions
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of planning initiatives and make recommendations for improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in city planning or related field
• Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, land use regulations, and zoning codes
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in GIS software and other planning tools
