Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Home Health Services Interpreter to join our team in New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for providing language interpretation services to patients and healthcare providers during home health visits. You will play a critical role in facilitating communication, cultural understanding, and adherence to treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret spoken language between patients and healthcare providers
• Facilitate communication during medical assessments, treatment discussions, and follow-up appointments
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information and adhere to professional ethics and standards
• Provide cultural mediation and advocate for patient needs as necessary
• Document interpretation services provided and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish, additional languages a plus
• Previous experience in healthcare interpreting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
