Position: Machine Operator
We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at J & F Machine Shop. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in operating machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the production of quality products for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
– Set up and operate machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
– Monitor machinery during operation to ensure proper functioning
– Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
– Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
– Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– 2+ years of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing setting
– Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Position: Tool & Die Maker
We are also looking for a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team. This role is critical in the manufacturing process as it involves crafting and repairing precision tools and dies to meet the specifications of our clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design and fabricate tools and dies using various machinery and equipment
– Repair and maintain existing tools and dies to ensure optimal performance
– Collaborate with engineers and designers to create custom tooling solutions
– Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions
– Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents
Qualifications:
– Trade certification in Tool & Die Making or equivalent
– 3+ years of experience in tool and die making
– Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software for design purposes
– Strong knowledge of CNC machining and programming
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
