Sylvan Learning of Addicks is currently looking to expand our team and we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as tutors and test prep instructors.

Position: Tutor/Test Prep Instructor

As a tutor/test prep instructor at Sylvan Learning of Addicks, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and abilities to help them reach their academic goals. We offer tutoring services in a variety of subjects, including math, reading, writing, science, and test preparation for exams such as the SAT and ACT. Our instructors play a crucial role in providing individualized support and guidance to students, helping them build confidence and improve their academic performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement
• Create personalized learning plans based on students’ needs
• Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student’s progress
• Stay up-to-date on curriculum changes and teaching strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Teaching certification is preferred
• Experience working with students in a tutoring or classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students
• Passion for education and helping students succeed
