Position: Stroke Nurse Practitioner

Location: New York, NY

Job Description:

• Provide direct patient care to individuals who have experienced a stroke
• Assess patients’ medical history, symptoms, and perform physical exams
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs and CT scans
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Educate patients and their families on stroke prevention and management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in continuous education and training programs
• Adhere to all medical center policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nursing
• Current valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York
• Certification as a Stroke Nurse Practitioner preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in stroke care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
