Position: Medical Assistant

Location: AFC Urgent Care Katy

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at AFC Urgent Care Katy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and providing exceptional patient care. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers in delivering quality medical care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
• Take vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight
• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms
• Perform basic medical procedures, such as administering injections and performing EKGs
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Provide patient education on treatments and medications
• Maintain patient medical records
• Adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality policies

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Prior experience working in a medical facility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Basic computer skills
