Job Title: Optician

Job Description:

Sharpstown Vision Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting patients with selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, offering expert advice on lens selection, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames that complement their facial features and lifestyle
• Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and materials
• Process orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed
• Maintain inventory of frames and lenses

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as an optician preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of vision insurance plans a plus
