Position: Hospital Gift Shop Manager

About Us:
MD Anderson Children’s Art Project is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support programs for pediatric cancer patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Our mission is to provide art programs, educational activities, and resources to enhance the lives of children undergoing cancer treatment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the hospital gift shop
- Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking products
- Supervise and train gift shop staff and volunteers
- Create and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue
- Coordinate with vendors and negotiate pricing
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or hospitality management experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Passion for working with children and a compassionate nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and basic accounting principles
