Position: Credit & Debt Counselor

Job Description

• Provide personalized credit and debt counseling services to clients
• Analyze clients’ financial situations and create customized debt repayment plans
• Educate clients on financial literacy and budgeting techniques
• Negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients to lower interest rates and settle debts
• Monitor clients’ progress and provide ongoing support and guidance
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in credit and debt counseling

Qualifications

• Previous experience in credit and debt counseling or related field
• Strong understanding of financial principles and credit scoring systems
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certification in credit counseling is a plus
