Position: Music Director

About the Role

Are you passionate about music and worship? Do you have experience leading music programs in a church setting? Sunset United Methodist Church is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Director to enhance our worship experience through music. This is a part-time position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing congregation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead music for weekly worship services, special services, and events
• Select appropriate music that aligns with the church’s mission and theology
• Coordinate with the pastor and worship team to create a cohesive worship experience
• Recruit, train, and direct musicians, vocalists, and volunteers
• Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall ministry of the church

Qualifications

• Experience leading music programs in a church or similar setting
• Proficiency in playing piano and/or other musical instruments
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to the mission and values of the United Methodist Church
