We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Funeral Directors

As a Funeral Director at East Haven Funeral Homes, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of funeral arrangements, from meeting with families to discuss their needs to coordinating the service itself. The ideal candidate will have experience in the funeral industry and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. This position requires empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• Meet with families to plan funeral arrangements
• Coordinate with clergy, cemetery staff, and other service providers
• Prepare obituaries and assist with necessary paperwork
• Provide support and guidance to grieving families

Embalmers

Embalmers at East Haven Funeral Homes play a crucial role in preparing the deceased for viewing and burial. Our Embalmers are skilled professionals who handle each case with care and respect. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of embalming techniques, as well as a strong attention to detail and excellent judgment.

• Embalming and restoration of deceased individuals
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Coordinate with Funeral Directors to plan services
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Funeral Planning Specialists

Funeral Planning Specialists at East Haven Funeral Homes assist families in pre-planning and arranging funeral services. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to guide families through the decision-making process. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle sensitive situations with care.

• Meet with families to discuss pre-planning options
• Assist with selecting caskets, urns, and other merchandise
• Coordinate with Funeral Directors to ensure all arrangements are in place
• Provide ongoing support to families throughout the planning process

Requirements:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and dedicated to providing exceptional service. The following qualifications are required for all positions:

• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
• Experience in the funeral industry (for Funeral Directors and Embalmers)
• Knowledge of funeral planning procedures (for Funeral Planning Specialists)
