Position: Iron Worker

Job Description:

As an Iron Worker with Ironworker Local 84, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of iron and steel structures. Your duties will include:

– Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine layout and installation procedures.
– Erecting structural steel frames.
– Using equipment such as cranes and hoists to lift and place steel beams, columns, and other structural elements.
– Bolting, welding, and riveting steel components together.
– Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and building codes.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

– Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in ironworking.
– Certification in welding and rigging is preferred.
– Physical strength and stamina to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
– Commitment to safety and following proper procedures.
