Position Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Description

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Women’s Hospital Laboratory, you will play a crucial role in conducting a variety of diagnostic tests to help healthcare providers make accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans for our patients. Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:

• Performing a wide range of laboratory tests on samples such as blood, urine, and tissue to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions
• Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable test results
• Analyzing test results and preparing reports for healthcare providers to review and interpret
• Following strict protocols and quality control measures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of test results
• Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

To be considered for the position of Medical Laboratory Scientist at Women’s Hospital Laboratory, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) by a recognized accrediting agency
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical laboratory setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
