Position: Lumber Sales Representative

Location: Multiple locations across the United States

Job Description:

As a Lumber Sales Representative at J P Hart Lumber, you will be responsible for driving sales of our lumber products to new and existing customers. You will work closely with contractors, builders, developers, and other professionals in the construction industry to understand their needs and provide them with the best solutions. Your primary goal will be to increase sales, build strong relationships, and promote the J P Hart Lumber brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction with our products and services
• Identify new sales opportunities and follow up on leads to generate business
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions
• Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to close deals and meet sales targets
• Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional service
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the lumber or construction industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of lumber products, grades, and specifications is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
