A New Dawn Pet Adoption is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming homeless pets in the local community. Are you a compassionate animal lover looking to make a difference in the lives of pets in need? A New Dawn Pet Adoption is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team. We have openings in the following positions:

1. Animal Care Technician

As an Animal Care Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of the animals at our shelter. This includes feeding, grooming, exercising, and providing enrichment activities for the animals. You will also be tasked with cleaning kennels and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for our furry residents.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and food for animals
• Administer medications as needed
• Assist with adoptions and introductions
• Maintain clean and sanitary living conditions for animals

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with animals preferred
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

2. Adoption Counselor

As an Adoption Counselor, you will be responsible for assisting potential adopters in finding the perfect pet for their family. You will conduct interviews, perform home visits, and provide guidance on pet care and training. You will also be responsible for processing adoption paperwork and ensuring a smooth transition for both the pet and the new family.

Responsibilities:

• Match pets with suitable adopters
• Provide guidance on pet care and training
• Process adoption paperwork
• Follow up with adopters to ensure a successful transition

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of animal behavior and training techniques
• Experience in customer service preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

3. Volunteer Coordinator

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers to assist with various tasks at the shelter. You will supervise volunteers, assign duties, and ensure that all volunteers adhere to the guidelines and policies of the organization. You will also be responsible for recognizing and rewarding volunteer efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
• Assign duties and schedule volunteers
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers
• Recognize and reward volunteer efforts

Qualifications:

• Experience working with volunteers preferred
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire others
• Passion for animal welfare
