A to Z Preschool Daycare – Child Care Assistant Position
About Us
A to Z Preschool Daycare is a highly reputable childcare center located in the heart of the city. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Our dedicated team of educators and caregivers is committed to the holistic development of each child, focusing on their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong sense of professionalism and responsibility. The Child Care Assistant will work closely with the Lead Teachers to support the day-to-day activities and operations of the daycare, while ensuring the well-being and safety of all children in their care.
Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Supervise and engage children in indoor and outdoor play
- Provide basic care such as feeding, diapering, and napping
- Support children in developing essential skills through interactive play and learning experiences
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s daily activities and progress
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Assist with meal preparation and serving snacks
- Adhere to daycare policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
- Understanding of child development principles
