Position: Convention Services Manager

AC Hotel by Marriott Houston Downtown is seeking a passionate and skilled Convention Services Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

As a Convention Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the planning and execution of meetings, events, and conventions hosted at our hotel. Your primary duties will include:

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and preferences
  • Creating detailed event proposals and contracts
  • Coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless execution of events
  • Managing event budgets and financials
  • Supervising event staff and vendors
  • Providing on-site support during events
  • Evaluating the success of events and gathering feedback for future improvements

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning or convention services
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and event planning software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certification in Event Planning or CMP designation is a plus
