Position: Recycling Center Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the recycling center, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize recycling processes and increase efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, as well as inventory levels
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to facilitate the smooth operation of the recycling center
• Identify opportunities for business growth and development

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in the scrap metal or recycling industry
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety protocols
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

Position: Scrap Metal Buyer

Job Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase scrap metal from various suppliers
• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors
• Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with company standards
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and develop new partnerships
• Monitor market trends and pricing to optimize purchasing decisions

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
• Knowledge of scrap metal grades and pricing
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
• High school diploma or equivalent

Position: Salvage Operations Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage surplus and salvage merchandise inventory
• Coordinate sales and distribution of salvaged materials
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue from salvage operations
• Work with vendors and customers to ensure timely and efficient processing of salvage materials
• Monitor and analyze salvage market trends to identify opportunities for growth
• Maintain records of salvage transactions and inventory levels

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in salvage or surplus operations
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Knowledge of salvage industry practices and regulations
• Associate’s degree or equivalent
