Job Title: Pet Trainer

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Trainer to join our team at Action Dogs USA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dog training and behavior modification, with a focus on positive reinforcement techniques. This role will involve working closely with pet owners to assess their dogs’ needs and develop customized training plans to achieve desired results. The Pet Trainer will also be responsible for conducting group classes, private lessons, and board-and-train programs.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing dogs’ behavior and training needs
• Developing training plans tailored to each dog’s individual needs
• Conducting group classes and private lessons
• Providing ongoing support and guidance to pet owners
• Monitoring dogs’ progress and adjusting training techniques as needed
• Ensuring a safe and positive training environment for all dogs

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dog training
• Certification in dog training preferred
• Strong knowledge of positive reinforcement training techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, compassionate, and dedicated to helping dogs succeed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
