Current Openings
Animal Care Technician
As an Animal Care Technician at AARF, you will play a crucial role in the daily care and well-being of our rescue animals. Your responsibilities will include:
– Providing food, water, and clean bedding to animals
– Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and animal living spaces
– Monitoring the health and behavior of animals
– Assisting with veterinary care and medication administration
– Socializing and exercising animals to help prepare them for adoption
Adoption Counselor
As an Adoption Counselor at AARF, you will be responsible for helping potential adopters find their perfect match among our rescue animals. Your duties will include:
– Conducting adoption interviews to assess potential adopters’ suitability
– Matching animals with adopters based on their lifestyle and preferences
– Providing information about responsible pet ownership and the adoption process
– Facilitating meet-and-greets between animals and potential adopters
– Processing adoption paperwork and ensuring a smooth transition for animals to their new homes
Volunteer Coordinator
As a Volunteer Coordinator at AARF, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and overseeing our dedicated team of volunteers. Your role will involve:
– Recruiting volunteers through outreach events, social media, and community partnerships
– Providing training and orientation for new volunteers
– Scheduling volunteer shifts and tasks to ensure coverage
– Recognizing and rewarding volunteers for their hard work and dedication
– Monitoring volunteer performance and providing support as needed
Qualifications
– Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to our mission of rescuing and rehoming animals
– Previous experience working with animals in a shelter or rescue setting (for Animal Care Technician and Adoption Counselor roles)
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
