Job Title: Funeral Director

Job Description

As a Funeral Director at Advantage Howard-Glendale CHPL, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of funeral arrangements. You will work closely with bereaved families to help them plan and execute funeral services that celebrate the life of their loved ones. Your primary duties will include:

• Meeting with families to discuss their wishes and preferences for the funeral service
• Assisting with the selection of caskets, urns, and other funeral merchandise
• Coordinating transportation of remains and arranging for embalming or cremation
• Preparing obituaries, service programs, and other relevant documentation
• Supervising funeral services to ensure they run smoothly and meet the family’s expectations
• Providing grief support and guidance to families during their time of loss

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Valid funeral director’s license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with grieving families
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Previous experience in the funeral industry is preferred but not required
