Job Description

At Amputee & Prosthetic Center, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving the quality of life for patients through the design and fitting of prosthetic devices and orthopedic appliances. As a Prosthetist/Orthotist, you will work closely with patients to assess their needs, create customized prostheses or orthoses, and provide ongoing care to ensure optimal function and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients to determine their prosthetic or orthotic needs
  • Design and fabricate prosthetic devices and orthopedic appliances
  • Fit, adjust, and align prostheses and orthoses for optimal performance
  • Provide education and training to patients on device use and maintenance
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Stay current on advancements in prosthetics and orthotics through continuing education

Qualifications

  • Board certification as a Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO) required
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics
  • Strong technical skills in device design and fabrication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for providing high-quality, patient-centered care
