We are Hiring:
Apical Meristem is currently looking for motivated and passionate individuals to join our Health Plans Information and Referral Service team. As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients in understanding their health insurance options, choosing the right plan, and accessing the care they need.
Position: Health Plans Information and Referral Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information on health plans, insurance coverage, and HMOs to clients
- Assist clients in comparing different health plans and understanding their benefits and limitations
- Offer guidance on navigating the healthcare system, including finding in-network providers and understanding co-pays and deductibles
- Help clients enroll in health plans and solve any issues that may arise during the process
- Collaborate with insurance providers and healthcare facilities to ensure smooth communication and coordination of care for clients
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and outcomes to track progress and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field
- Previous experience working in health insurance, HMOs, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of health insurance plans, coverage options, and healthcare terminology
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
