We are Hiring: Scrap Metal Technician
Job Description
- Sort and process various types of scrap metal according to company guidelines
- Operate machinery such as balers, shears, and cutters to prepare materials for recycling
- Inspect incoming materials for contaminants and remove them as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with inventory management and record-keeping tasks
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the scrap metal industry preferred but not required
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed
- Team player with excellent communication skills
