Position: Director of Worship and Arts

Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Houston is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to fill the role of Director of Worship and Arts. The ideal candidate will possess a deep love for the Lord, a strong commitment to excellence in worship, and the ability to lead and inspire a diverse congregation through music, arts, and creative expression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and lead all aspects of worship services including music, liturgy, media, and visuals
• Recruit, train, and lead worship team members, musicians, and vocalists
• Develop and implement creative elements for special services and events
• Collaborate with the pastoral team to ensure alignment with the church’s mission and values
• Oversee the technical aspects of worship services such as sound, lighting, and multimedia
• Manage the worship budget and resources effectively
• Provide pastoral care and support to worship team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Worship Arts, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in worship leadership
• Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument and leading congregational singing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with diverse personalities
• Knowledge of current trends in worship music and the ability to incorporate them into church services
• A heart for ministry and a desire to see lives transformed through worship
