Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Optometrist to join our team at Caribbean Optometry Service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional eye care services and a commitment to improving the vision health of our patients. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating visual disorders, fitting contact lenses, and prescribing eyeglasses.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess patients’ vision health
• Diagnose and treat visual disorders such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism
• Fit contact lenses and provide instruction on proper wearing and care
• Prescribe eyeglasses and educate patients on lens options
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
• Stay up-to-date on new developments in optometry and continue professional development

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
• Valid state optometry license
• Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
