Job Title: Community Outreach Specialist

Job Description

We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Community Outreach Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the City of Houston Southeast, you will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach initiatives to engage with residents, community organizations, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving the quality of life for all members of our community and will actively work to build strong relationships and collaborations that promote positive change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies and campaigns to increase community engagement
  • Engage with residents, businesses, and community organizations to understand their needs and concerns
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment and coordination of outreach efforts
  • Organize and participate in community events, meetings, and forums
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach initiatives and make recommendations for improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience working in community outreach, public relations, or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of local government operations and community development
