Responsibilities
Whether you’re in the kitchen crafting delicious dishes or serving guests with a smile, each role at D & L’s Cajun Kitchen plays a key part in delivering exceptional service. Here are some of the responsibilities you can expect in each position:
Line Cook:
Prepare and cook Cajun and Creole-inspired dishes according to recipes
Ensure food quality and presentation meets our standards
Maintain a clean and organized work station
Collaborate with the kitchen team to fulfill orders efficiently
Server:
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
Take food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately
Provide recommendations on menu items and specials
Bartender:
Mix and serve a variety of cocktails and beverages
Interact with guests, take drink orders, and make recommendations
Maintain a clean and organized bar area
Verify guests’ identification and ensure responsible alcohol service
Host/Hostess:
Welcome guests as they arrive and seat them promptly
Answer phone calls, take reservations, and update the reservation book
Assist servers with clearing and setting tables
Monitor the dining room flow and communicate with the kitchen and serving staff
Catering Assistant:
Assist with food preparation and set-up for catering events
Deliver and set up catering orders at various locations
Interact with clients and guests to ensure a positive experience
Help with clean-up and breakdown after events
Qualifications
