Position: Medical Assistant

At Dr. Irving J Fishman, MD, we are looking for a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical setting, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others. In this role, you will assist Dr. Fishman in providing care to our patients, including taking vital signs, updating medical records, and preparing examination rooms.

Responsibilities:
– Assisting Dr. Fishman during patient exams and procedures
– Taking patients’ vital signs and updating medical records
– Preparing examination rooms for patient visits
– Providing support to patients and their families
– Performing basic laboratory tests and procedures

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Certification as a Medical Assistant
– Experience working in a medical setting
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Position: Front Desk Receptionist

We are also looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, experience working in a medical office, and the ability to multitask effectively. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, so a professional and welcoming demeanor is essential.

Responsibilities:
– Greeting patients and visitors and checking them in for appointments
– Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
– Verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays
– Maintaining patient records and updating the practice management system
– Assisting with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience working as a receptionist or in customer service
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Proficiency with computer systems and office software
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
