We are currently hiring for the following position:

Funeral Director:

As a Funeral Director at Eternal Rest Funeral Home, you will be responsible for assisting families with all aspects of funeral planning and arrangements. This includes meeting with families to discuss their needs and wishes, coordinating services with clergy and other service providers, and overseeing all aspects of funeral services.

Requirements:

• Valid state Funeral Director’s license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to show empathy and compassion to grieving families
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

• Meet with families to plan funeral arrangements
• Coordinate services with clergy, cemetery staff, and other service providers
• Prepare and file all necessary paperwork and permits
• Oversee funeral services to ensure they run smoothly
• Provide grief support and resources to families

Funeral Planner:

As a Funeral Planner at Eternal Rest Funeral Home, you will work closely with families to pre-plan their funeral arrangements. This includes discussing funeral options, pricing, and payment plans to ensure families have peace of mind knowing their wishes will be carried out.

Requirements:

• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Knowledge of funeral service options and pricing
• Ability to explain complex information in a clear and sensitive manner
• Detail-oriented and organized

Responsibilities:

• Meet with families to discuss funeral planning options
• Provide information on funeral services, merchandise, and pricing
• Assist families in making informed decisions about their funeral arrangements
• Prepare and finalize funeral contracts
• Follow up with families to ensure satisfaction with pre-planned arrangements

Funeral Services & Supplies:

If you are interested in working in funeral services but prefer a more behind-the-scenes role, we are also hiring for positions in our funeral services and supplies department. This includes roles such as embalming, cosmetics, casket selection, and overall funeral home maintenance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in funeral services preferred
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Prepare bodies for viewing and burial
• Perform embalming and cosmetics procedures
• Assist with casket selection and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the funeral home
• Work collaboratively with funeral directors and other team members
