Position Available: Worship Leader

Job Description:

As a Worship Leader at First Church of the Nazarene, you will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate all aspects of worship services. This includes selecting songs, leading the congregation in musical worship, and working closely with the pastoral team to create a meaningful and uplifting worship experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate worship services, including selecting appropriate music and guiding rehearsals
• Work closely with the pastoral team to plan and execute meaningful services that align with the church’s mission and vision
• Recruit and train volunteers for the worship team, including vocalists, musicians, and technical support staff
• Create an atmosphere of worship that engages the congregation and encourages spiritual growth
• Attend regular staff meetings and collaborate with other ministry leaders to support the overall mission of the church

Qualifications:

• Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for leading others in worship
• Experience leading worship in a church setting, including proficiency in playing an instrument or singing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with others
• Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing ministry needs
