Position Available: Addiction Counselor

As an Addiction Counselor at First Step to Recovery, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients through their journey to sobriety. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments to determine clients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Providing individual and group counseling sessions to address underlying issues contributing to substance abuse
• Monitoring clients’ progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Collaborating with other members of the treatment team to ensure holistic care
• Facilitating psychoeducational groups on topics related to addiction and recovery
• Documenting client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) preferred
• Experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting
• Strong understanding of addiction, recovery, and mental health disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
