Job Description:

As a Foundation Engineer at Gibbs Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of foundation systems for buildings, bridges, and other structures. You will work closely with our team of engineers and consultants to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing geotechnical investigations and soil analysis to determine the suitability of foundation systems
  • Designing deep and shallow foundation systems using industry-standard software
  • Preparing construction drawings and specifications for foundation systems
  • Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor the progress of foundation construction
  • Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in foundation engineering
  • Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software such as Plaxis, LPILE, or similar
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
