We Are Hiring: Director of Worship and Music Ministry

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as the Director of Worship and Music Ministry. The Director will be responsible for planning and leading worship services, directing the church choir, and coordinating all music-related activities within the church. The ideal candidate will have a strong musical background, a deep understanding of Baptist traditions, and a heart for ministry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead dynamic and engaging worship services that align with our church’s mission and values
• Direct the church choir and other music groups, including rehearsals and performances
• Select and arrange music for worship services, special events, and holidays
• Collaborate with the pastor, staff, and congregation to create a cohesive worship experience
• Provide musical leadership and support for all church activities, such as funerals, weddings, and special services
• Recruit and train volunteers to participate in the music ministry
• Manage the music budget and oversee the maintenance of musical instruments and equipment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in music ministry or a related field
• Proficient in playing and directing music, preferably with experience in leading a choir
• Strong understanding of Baptist theology and worship practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of staff and volunteers
• Passion for serving the church and community through music and worship
• Bachelor’s degree in music or a related field preferred
