Position: Health Plans-Information & Referral Service Specialist

Job Description:

Harbor Healthcare System is currently seeking a Health Plans-Information & Referral Service Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the health plans information and referral service, including coordinating with insurance providers, assisting patients with insurance inquiries, and ensuring that all relevant information is accurately documented and communicated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to patients with insurance-related inquiries and issues
• Coordinate with insurance providers to verify coverage and benefits
• Ensure that all patient information is accurate and up-to-date in the system
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to resolve insurance-related challenges
• Stay informed of changes in insurance regulations and policies
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of insurance processes and procedures
