Position: Independent Living Support Specialist
Job Description
As an Independent Living Support Specialist at Higher Hopes Living, you will be responsible for providing personalized support to individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their goals and live independently. Your duties may include:
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to clients
- Developing and implementing individualized support plans
- Advocating for clients’ rights and needs
- Connecting clients with community resources and services
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have a genuine passion for working with individuals with disabilities and making a positive impact in their lives. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and patience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of local resources and services for individuals with disabilities
