Position: Career Counselor

As a Career Counselor at Houston Career Specialists, you will play a crucial role in guiding our clients through the job search process and helping them identify their strengths, goals, and career paths. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting one-on-one career counseling sessions with individuals seeking employment
• Assessing clients’ skills, interests, and goals to determine suitable career options
• Developing personalized career plans and strategies for job seekers
• Providing guidance on resume writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques
• Networking with employers and industry professionals to identify job opportunities for clients
• Monitoring clients’ progress and providing ongoing support and encouragement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, human resources, or related field
• Previous experience in career counseling, employment agencies, or related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored career advice
• Knowledge of industry trends, job market dynamics, and hiring practices
• Proficiency in career assessment tools and resources
• Certification in career counseling or related field is a plus
