We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in various roles within our organization. If you have a love for animals and a commitment to helping those in need, we want to hear from you!

Positions Available:

Dog Trainer

• Develop and implement training programs for dogs in our care
• Provide behavioral assessments and create individualized training plans
• Work with dogs of all ages and backgrounds to improve behavior and build trust
• Educate potential adopters on basic dog training techniques

Animal Shelter Worker

• Provide daily care and enrichment for animals in our shelter
• Clean and maintain animal housing areas
• Assist with feeding, grooming, and overall well-being of animals
• Help with adoptions and provide excellent customer service to potential adopters

Humane Society Advocate

• Advocate for animal welfare and assist with outreach efforts in the community
• Educate the public on responsible pet ownership and the work of Houston SPCA
• Assist with fundraising events and campaigns to support our mission
• Work with volunteers and other staff members to promote humane treatment of animals

Qualifications:

To be considered for a position at Houston SPCA, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Prior experience working with animals, preferably in a shelter or rescue environment
• Knowledge of animal care best practices and a commitment to animal welfare
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for helping animals in need and creating a safe, loving environment for them
