Location: Hunters Creek Retrievers – Eugene, Oregon

Job Description

As a Pet Breeder at Hunters Creek Retrievers, you will play a crucial role in our breeding program’s success. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the breeding process, from pairing compatible dogs to assisting with whelping
• Caring for pregnant and nursing dogs, ensuring their health and well-being
• Raising and socializing puppies in a loving and safe environment
• Providing basic training and enrichment activities for puppies
• Maintaining accurate records of breeding pairs, litters, and vaccinations
• Assisting with customer interactions, including puppy selection and adoption

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Prior experience in pet breeding or animal husbandry
• Knowledge of canine genetics, breeding principles, and whelping procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals
